It’s a dark starless evening as you and friends drive home down an unfamiliar road. Suddenly you hear the thumping of a flat tire. You pull over and quickly change the flat, but now the car will not start. You had been intensely listening to the reports of an escaped convict in the area and it seems the radio has drained the battery. You try to call CAA to no avail; there’s no reception on this lonely country road.
Someone in your party recalls passing a cabin and you decide to head there to call for help. Upon approach you notice that the cabin appears to be abandoned. The door hangs slightly ajar. You hear a rustle in the bushes and a thunderclap overhead. You chose to hunker down in the cabin to ride out the storm. Perhaps the morning light will see you home.
